ENHANCED SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR COVID-19
Autumn Bear is committed to keeping this community as safe as possible during these unprecedented times.
HEIGHTENED PATIENT SCREENING
Autumn asks that any patient experiencing COVID or flu-like symptoms reschedule/cancel their appointment with no cancellation fee. Anyone coming in for treatment will be required to sign a health declaration that will be emailed a few hours before each appointment and must be filled out before arrival. Each patient upon arrival will have their temperature taken. If their temperature is 100 or more degrees, they will be asked to leave, and reschedule.
CONTACTLESS TRANSACTIONS
It is request that you have a credit card on file before coming in. Please feel free to reach out if you need to make alternative payment arrangements.
ENHANCED CLEANING
Autumn has put into place enhanced cleaning procedures to ensure surfaces and key touch points are disinfected throughout the day and after each patient. Between each appointment, the room will be thoroughly disinfected, sheets will be changed, and all hard surfaces will be cleaned. Autumn washes and sanitizes her hands before and after each patient interaction as well as each hour. She asks that each patient wash their hands upon entry before beginning treatment and hand sanitizer is available for anyone who would require it.
These enhanced COVID procedures are on top of the already stringent guidelines in place for acupuncture safety.
CLEANLINESS
Autumn prides herself on creating a warm, peaceful environment. Warm, peaceful, and clean. Cleanliness is a critical component of making this a place where you feel you can relax – but it is also absolutely crucial to making it safe. Daily, linens are laundered in hypoallergenic soap and at high temperatures to make sure they are fresh and completely contaminant-free. Medical waste (mainly acupuncture needles) is, of course, disposed of properly.
ACUPUNCTURE SAFETY
At Autumn Bear Acupuncture the only thing that is used are sterile, single-use acupuncture needles, which are disposed of safely after each treatment. Each treatment room is organized and clean, as you’d expect for any medical procedure.
